Just watched a lovely video clip of Adrienne Campbell, talking (for about 20 minutes) about facing her imminent death from brain cancer. I was especially struck by how she reached a place of detachment from many of the most significant aspects of her life; about how she clearly was in a state of acceptance and was also very clear that this has nothing to do with ‘giving up,’ — resignation. As one hears reiterated so often by people confronting their mortality, as well as those who have actually had a ‘return-from-death’ experience, she talks, too, about the significance of love, the importance of connection.

Especially appreciated her wry and matter-of-fact comment that ‘My satnav is set and I am on my way’!

This video was recorded on August 3rd and Adrienne left her body today (October 26th).
